Mindfulness Brings People Together in Tagaytay: Our Feature in Manila Standard
What started as a simple, heart-led yoga class in the quiet surroundings of Tagaytay has grown into such a beautiful, grounded space for healing and community.
I am so deeply grateful to share that Tagaytay Mindfulness Yoga was recently featured in Manila Standard!
What made this feature even more special was how it came to be. Darren interviewed me while I was traveling in the United States. We did the entire interview over WhatsApp while I was cozy in my pajamas! It felt so refreshing because this is exactly the kind of mindful, unhurried lifestyle I love to live and share. We don't need to be constantly rushing or striving. When we relax and create space, what is meant for us will always find us.
In the feature, we talked about the origin of these gatherings, the power of slowing down, and how true healing often happens when we simply listen to each other's stories.
Here are a few excerpts from the piece that resonated deeply with me:
"Unlike many yoga programs that emphasize physical fitness, her retreats center on mindfulness and emotional well-being... 'We are not just a body. We are not just a mind. They work together hand in hand.'"
"The first thing I hope they remember is that they already have everything they need to get through life... You’re not gaining something. You’re remembering who you are."
A huge thank you to Darren and Manila Standard for shining a light on our community, and to every single soul who has stepped onto a mat or joined a circle with us. You make this space what it is.
